Short-term rentals require registration, inspection, a local business tax receipt, and a certificate of compliance in the City of Plantation. Violators can be fined and liens may be placed on the property.

The proposed revised Charter is a rewrite of the existing Charter that was adopted in 1953 when the City of Plantation was incorporated. The Charter has been amended over time, but this was the first comprehensive review of the entire document by a citizen board.

Samira Shalan, Director of the City of Plantation Engineering Department, will provide updates during our October 18 meeting. Topics will include recent improvements to the traffic calming initiatives as well as a status update on the North Acres Park project.
